Dr. A T M Tanveer Hasan obtained his MBBS degree from Dhaka Medical College in 2009. He obtained an MD in Rheumatology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University and joined as an Assistant Professor of Rheumatology at Enam Medical College and Hospital in April, 2017. He was promoted to Associate Professor of Rheumatology in March, 2021. He served Enam Medical College & Hospital upto March, 2023. Currently he is the Associate Professor of the Department of Rheumatology, Green Life Medical College and Hospital.

He is passionate about medical education, research methodology and evidence based medicine. With several international publications, he has established himself as a researcher in the field of Rheumatology. He is currently a member of the Education Committee of the Asia-Pacific League of Associations for Rheumatology (APLAR) and the Co-chaiperson of the APLAR Young Rheumatologist Education Committee. In this capacity he is actively involved in planning, co-ordinating and implementing APLAR educational activities at an international level. He is a member of the APLAR COVID-19 Taskforce and co-authored the Updated APLAR Consensus Statement on Care of Patients with Rheumatic Diseases during COVID-19. He is a member of the Technical Committee for the National Guideline for Prevention and Management of Rheumatic Diseases, Directorate General of Health Services, Bangladesh. He is also an External Reviewer for the Clinical Guideline Unit, Ministry of Health, Malaysia. He is a member of the EULAR Study Group on Microcirculation in Rheumatic Disease. His other current areas of research include MHC-I-opathies particularly spondyloarthritis and the bioequivalance of biomimics.

In the clinical arena, Dr Tanveer Hasan has made waves as a keen diagnostician and assiduous clinician. He advocates and implements a multidisciplinary approach in the management of patients to ensure all-round care. His particular areas of expertise include spondyloarthritis and vasculitis. He is also very keen about expanding the use of diagnostic and therapeutic imaging modalities in the routine practice of Rheumatology in Bangladesh and was one of the pioneers of nailfold capillaroscopy in Bangladesh. He in musculoskeletal ultrasound, ultrasound-guided procedures and nailfold capillaroscopy has special interest.
