Professor Dr. Md. Abu Salim graduated from Sher-E-Bangla Medical College, Barisal in 1995. He completed his D-Card course from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, Dhaka in 2002. He obtained his MD (Cardiology) Degree from National Heart Foundation, Dhaka in 2008. He took his fellowship training from Apollo Hospital Hyderabad, India on Interventional Cardiology in 2012, also take Fellowship on Electrophysiology & Pacing from Fortis Escorts Heart Institute New Delhi, India in 2015.
Prof. Dr. Abu Salim join Bangladesh Sheikh Mujib Medical University in Cardiology Department and worked there as Medical Officer from 1999 to 2005. After that, he worked as Consultant from 2005 to 2011, Assistant Professor from 2011 to 2016 in the same institute. In 2016 he was promoted to Associate Professor of Cardiology Department in same institute. Recently, he has been promoted to the esteemed position of Professor in the Cardiology Department at the same institution.
He is Elected Member of Bangladesh Society of Interventional Cardiology (BCSI), Member of Bangladesh Heart Rhythm Society (BHRS), and Life Member of Bangladesh Cardiac Society and also European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology (APSC)
He has around 34 publications in national and international
journals.
