Professor (Dr.) Md. Nazrul Islam graduated from Sher-E Bangla Medical College, Barishal in
1993. He joined as Lecturer (Pathology) at Khulna Medical College in 1995,
under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Bangladesh. He obtained MD
(Nephrology) in January 2005 from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU),
Dhaka.
He
joined as Specialist of Nephrology in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2005 (October)
and came back to Bangladesh and joined Mymensingh Medical College 2008 as
Assistant Professor of Nephrology. From 2009 he posted to Dhaka Medical
College, in the department of Nephrology as an Assistant, Associate and
Professor respectively. Since January 2020 he is working as departmental head
of Nephrology. He had around 38 publications in national and international
journals. He is Executive member of BRA since 2008 and was secretary-general
(2017-2019). He is involved as guide of thesis of MD (Nephrology) of many
students at DMC (Dhaka Medical College), Dhaka, since 2016.
