Dr. Nusrat Hoque is a prominent female oncologist and a government official. She is working at National Institute of Cancer Research & Hospital (NICRH), Mohakhali, Dhaka at Radiotherapy unit. Dr. Nusrat picked cancer as the line of specialization and started working on it just after finishing her MBBS degree from Dhaka Medical College (DMCH). Her determination and passion for the subject helped her to achieve FCPS (Radiotherapy) degree at this early age.
During the last decade she experienced diverse types of cancer of both genders. Hands on experience helped her to be acquainted with early detection and prevention systems of different types of cancer. She is well convergent with both medical and radiational oncology. Her specialization lies in chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radiotherapy. She is able to provide customized radiotherapy (2D, 3D CRT, IMRT/ VMAT, Brachytherapy) based on the patient’s treatment requirement.
Dr. Nusrat started her Oncology career with Dhaka Medical College Hospital as a trainee. From that time she was working at Green Life Medical College & Hospital (GLMCH). Her main responsibility was to provide the required treatment to the in-house cancer patients of GLMCH. Later, she joined Government service as a BCS Cadre (Health). Meanwhile she continued her training for post-graduation and completed the FCPS (Radiotherapy) in January 2021. Dr. Nusrat is an Ex- Cadet and completed her higher secondary education from Mymensingh Girls Cadet College (MGCC).
