Prof. Dr. Sk. Abdul Fattah graduated from Dhaka Medical College in 1986. After completion of internship training, he joined in Dept. of Medicine at Holy Family Red Crescent Hospital, Dhaka as a Medical Resident and worked successfully for about two years.
After qualifying in 8th BCS, he joined as an assistant surgeon in the Ministry of Health, Govt. Of Bangladesh and served in various capacities for over 34 years. He was trained in internal medicine in Dhaka Medical College Hospital and the then IPGMR (now BSMMU) from 1991 to 1994. He also received training in respiratory medicine in NIDCH (Chest Hospital) in 1998-99. He obtained diploma in chest disease (DTCD) from Dhaka University in 2000 and FCPS in Medicine in 2003. He served as a Consultant of Medicine in district hospital from 2003 to 2008 and thereafter in different Govt. Medical colleges as faculty. He received honorary Membership (MACP) and fellowship (FACP) from American College of Physician for academic and professional excellence. He is a Life member of Bangladesh Society of Medicine and Bangladesh Lung Foundation.
Dr. Sk. Abdul Fattah has
many publications in different national journals and participated
in various international scientific conferences. He was involved in teaching
and training of undergraduate and postgraduate medical students including
supervision of their thesis. He is a regular examiner of undergraduate and
postgraduate examinations. After serving as a teacher for more than 20 years he
retired from government job as Professor and Head of department of Medicine
from Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College,
Gazipur in February, 2022 and joined Green Life
Medical College as Professor and Head of Medicine in September, 2021.
