Prof. Dr. Rabeya Begum is a distinguished Professor in the Department of Anaesthesiology, currently serving at Green Life Medical College. With a strong academic background and extensive clinical experience, she has significantly contributed to the field of anaesthesia in Bangladesh.
She completed her MBBS from Rangpur Medical College in 1984. She obtained her MCPS from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS) in 1998, the Diploma in Anaesthesiology (DA) from BIRDEM in the same year, and her FCPS from BCPS in 2009.
Prof. Dr. Rabeya Begum began her professional journey at Dhaka Medical College as an Assistant Surgeon in 1984. In 2000, she joined Sirajdikhan Upazila Health Complex in Munshiganj as a Junior Consultant in Anaesthesiology. Her academic career advanced as she took the role of Assistant Professor in Anaesthesiology at Sir Salimullah Medical College Mitford Hospital in 2011. She returned to Dhaka Medical College in 2013 as an Associate Professor and was later promoted to Professor in 2018. Since January 2019, she has been serving as Professor and Head of the Department of Anaesthesiology at Green Life Medical College.
Her areas of specialization include obstetric anaesthesia and the pain and palliative care unit, where she has demonstrated significant leadership and dedication. She has authored 15 national publications, contributing to academic advancement in her field.
