Dr. Md. Shafiqul Alam

Dr. Md. Shafiqul Alam is now working as Assistant Professor and Assistant Director in National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, Dhaka. Dr. Alam is skilled plastic and reconstructive surgeon with advanced training and hands-on experience in both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. He completed his MBBS from Dhaka Medical College in 2011, followed by MS in Plastic Surgery from Dhaka Medical College in 2023.

He has been working in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery, with focused expertise in microsurgical techniques, hand surgery, liposuction, and post-surgical breast reconstruction and augmentation. He provides comprehensive pre-operative consultations to ensure that patients’ expectations are properly aligned with surgical outcomes.

Dr. Alam has successfully performed numerous major and minor surgical procedures in Government Hospital and in private setup with high patients’ satisfaction and excellent surgical results.

He has also received specialized training in Hand Surgery (China, Nepal), Burn Wound Care (China, Singapore), Microsurgery (Indonesia, Thailand), Aesthetic Breast Reconstitution, Reduction and Augmentation (Sri Lanka) further enhancing his clinical expertise.
