Professor Md. Shafayet Hasan Majumder graduated from Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical college in 1981. He worked as Medical Officer in different Upazilla health complex.

He went to Iran and worked as General Physician, under Ministry of Health, Islamic Republic of Iran. He came back to Bangladesh and obtained MPhil in Radiology & Imaging in BSMMU (the than IPGM&R) under Dhaka University, also obtained FCPS in Medicine. He went again in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and worked as Medicine Specialist in Al-Shefa Hospital, under Ministry of Health, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He returned back to Bangladesh and started to work as Assistant Professor, then Associate Professor and finally as Professor of Medicine for 8 years and retired
