Dr. Md. Arfiul Islam is currently working as an Associate Professor, Department of Rheumatology, Bangabandhu sheikh Mujib Medical University, Dhaka. He obtained his MBBS from Dhaka Medical College in 2000. He achieved Fellowship (FCPS) in Internal Medicine from Bangladesh College of Physicians & Surgeons in 2008 and Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Rheumatology from BSMMU in 2012.

He has immense interest in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound and completed EULAR introductory ultrasound course in 2017 and attended many international musculoskeletal ultrasound workshops. He is a life member of Bangladesh rheumatology Society and Association of Physicians of Bangladesh. He has participated and presented in national and international conferences. He has 18 publications in various journals.
