Major (Dr.) Syed Jamil Abdal (Retd) graduated from Sylhet M A G Osmani Medical College in 1989.
Soon after graduation, he
joined in Army Medical Corps (AMC), Bangladesh Army in 1990 where he served in
different field ambulances and Combined Medical Hospitals. In 2005, he left AMC
for personal reason.
He obtained FCPS (Medicine)
and FCPS (Rheumatology) from Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons
(BCPS) in 2013 and 2017 respectively. Currently, he is serving as Associate
Professor of Rheumatology in the department of rheumatology, Bangladesh Medical
University.
He attended different national
and international training, seminars and conferences especially Asia-Pacific
League of Associations for Rheumatology (APLAR) and European Alliance of
Associations for Rheumatology (EULAR). He has around 24 publications in national
and international journals.
