Prof. Dr. Md. Saidur Rahman completed his MBBS from Mymensingh Medical College in 1994. His career in academia began in 1995 as a Lecturer in the Department of Pathology and Microbiology at Jahurul Islam Medical College, Kishoreganj. In 2001, he joined Government Service as a Microbiologist in the Department of Microbiology at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases, Dhaka.
He pursued advanced medical education, earning his DCP from BSMMU in 2003 and M. Phil in Pathology in 2006. His academic career progressed as he served as an Assistant Professor at Bangladesh Medical College from 2006 to 2010. He was later promoted to Professor (CC) of Pathology in 2020 at the same institution.
In 2021, he rejoined Government Service as Professor and Head of the Department of Pathology at Sher-E-Bangla Medical College, Barishal. Since April 2024, he has been serving as Professor of Pathology and Project Director at Mugda Medical College, Dhaka.
