Prof. Dr. Tabassum Parveen graduated from Sir Salimullah Medical College & Mitford Hospital in 1988. She did her fellowship in obstetrics & Gynaecology from BCPS in January 2001.

She joined Bangladesh Civil service in 1991 and later joined in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) in 1998. She obtained training on fetal invasive procedures from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, India. She has done a certificate & diploma course on ‘medical ultrasonography’ from Asian Institute of Medical Science (AIMS) in collaboration with University & Industry Alliance, university of Dhaka. She has done ‘Certificate Course on Diabetology’ from BIRDEM.

She worked as assistant professor, associate professor and professor in the department of Obs & Gynae (2001-2006) & Fetomaternal Medicine (2006 –till now) in BSMMU. She has got enormous experience of eighteen (18) years in dealing high risk pregnancies. Currently she is holding the position of chairman of Fetomatenal Medicine of BSMMU.

She has got around fifty (50) publication in international & national reputed journals
